The City of Montgomery, West Virginia has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze the impacts of constructing a new city park including along the Kanawha River in Fayette County, West Virginia. The proposed site is located at the north end of Adams Street in downtown Montgomery. The 30-day review period begins May 15 and ends June 14. The Proposed Action includes installing handicap parking, walkways, and benches along with the installation of a pier platform on already constructed pilings. Adams Street Park and Fishing Pier will be an accessible recreational resource for residents and will attract visitors to the downtown area of Montgomery. During the 30-day review period, the City of Montgomery welcomes the submission of any comments, data, or information related potential issues, impacts and alternatives that should be addressed in the EA. The deadline for comments related to this proposed action is June 14, 2020.
