TAZEWELL COUNTY, VIRGINIA
INVITATION TO BID
VEHICLE/DIESEL FUEL
July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021
The Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia (County) and the Tazewell County Public Service Authority (PSA) are accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to furnish and deliver vehicle fuel for use in County and PSA owned vehicles for the period beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021.
Bidders should submit their price to the County for each fuel type as of June 1, 2020. Bids shall also state the bidder’s rack or terminal price as of June 1, 2020. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest price submitted. The resulting contract shall establish a fixed margin for the successful bidder above the bidder’s rack or terminal price, which shall not exceed the margin reflected in the price stated for June 1, 2020. During the term of the contract, the bidder’s terminal prices will be made available to the County and the PSA upon request as proof of justification for price change.
Delivery of fuels will be required at various locations throughout the County. Maintenance of pumping equipment shall include automatic shut-off type fillers on all gas pumps.
Separate invoices will be required for the County and the PSA.
Bid closing is at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2020. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time or shortly thereafter, in the County Administrator’s Office of the Tazewell County Administration Building, 197 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651. Any bids received after bid closing will not be accepted and be returned unopened.
All bids must be clearly marked “SEALED BID – VEHICLE FUEL” and include the return address on the outside of the envelope.
