ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MVA HEALTH CENTERS, INC. FAIRMONT, WEST VIRGINIA PROPOSED MVA CLINIC 1ST AND 2ND FLOOR RENOVATIONS THRASHER PROJECT #060-10161 Sealed Bids for MVA Clinic 1st and 2nd Floor Renovations will be received at the office of The Thrasher Group, Inc. located at 600 White Oaks Blvd., Bridgeport, WV 26330, until 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 for furnishing labor and materials and performing all Work set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by The Thrasher Group, Inc. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud through live-stream, so social distancing guidelines will be followed. A link for the live-stream of the Bid Opening will be provided via Addendum. The approximate quantities of Work to be Bid upon is as described as follows: Interior renovation of limited areas of the first and second floor of the MVA Clinic Building located in Fairmont, WV. The building is a Business Occupancy of Type II Non-combustible construction containing outpatient medical clinic, administrative and support facilities. The areas to be renovated encompass approximately 1,120 SF – First Floor, and 800 SF – Second Floor. Renovations consist of selective demolition of each space, new ceilings, partitions, finishes, lighting/power, reconfiguring HVAC supply/return, plumbing and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work will be substantially completed by February 15, 2021. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per calendar day. Box 940, Bridgeport, WV 26330, for the following costs: Bidding Documents issued as hard copy drawings and hard copy specifications are available for $100 per set. A two-envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on MVA Clinic 1st and 2nd Floor Renovations Received by The Thrasher Group, Inc. on behalf of MVA Health Centers, Inc. Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of Bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the MVA Health Centers, Inc., for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base Bid. Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor’s license on the date of Bid Opening. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders. MVA Health Centers, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. A pre-bid conference will be held at the project site located at 1322 Fairmont Avenue, Fairmont, WV, on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., L.P.T. (Masks will be required).
