Notice of Intent to Update the Fayette-Raleigh Metropolitan Planning Organization Long-Range Transportation Plan
The Fayette-Raleigh Metropolitan Planning Organization (FRM) announces its intent to update theLong-Range Transportation Plan for Fayette and Raleigh Counties.
As the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Fayette and Raleigh Counties, FRM is required by federal law to produce a long-range transportation plan (LRTP) and update it every five years. The LRTP will identify recommended improvements to the transportation system for the next 25 years. The LRTP will be a multi-modal plan, considering needs related to streets and highways, public transportation, bikeways and walkways, rail, and aviation.
We invite you to submit comments on current transportation system conditions to help guide the development of this plan update. You may submit comments or ask questions about this process by contacting:

Comments can also be submitted on the FRM website (www.reg4wv.org).
The effort to update the plan will begin October 21, 2020 and is expected to last just over two months, culminating in plan approval and adoption by the FRM Policy Board by the end of 2020.When a draft updated plan is available for review later this year, FRM will publish another public notice notifying the public and there will be an opportunity to review the draft plan update and submit additional comments.
