Notice is hereby given that Synergy Coal, LLC, PO Box 2554, 997 Cook Parkway, Oceana, WV 24870 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 49.49 acres and has submitted an application to DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O305089 to maintain and operate a coal refuse disposal area. The operation is discharging into Simmons Fork of Clear Fork of the Guyandotte River of the Ohio River and is located 1.5 miles, east of Oceana in Oceana District of Wyoming County, at Longitude 81o 36′ 22″ and Latitude 37o 41′ 43″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
