Invitation to Bid

The Town of Fayetteville is requesting bids for roof replacement for its Town Hall building located at 125 N. Court St., Fayetteville, WV.

This project includes:
1. The removal of the existing roof and all existing layers down to structural deck
2. Inspection of the structural deck and replacement of inferior decking materials
3. Furnish and install a layer of at least 3.5″ insulation
4. Furnish and installation of at least a 60-mil membrane roof
5. The Installation of new metal edge- at least 24 gauge
6. Repair/Replacement of metal flashing
7. Removal of old and the installation of new gutters and downspout
8. Provide a warranty of 20 or more years.

The project completion date is no later than August 31, 2021 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) Cost, (2) Experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) Proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

The property will be open for a mandatory pre-bid walk-through by appointment. Bids are to be sealed and labeled Attention: Matt Diederich/Town Hall Roof Replacement, 125 N. Court Street Fayetteville, West Virginia 25840. Bids must be submitted by 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Sealed bids will be opened in council chambers on January 7, 2021 at the regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting at 6 pm.
