Town of Durbin Durbin, Pocahontas County, West Virginia Wastewater & Storm Water Separation ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Durbin Wastewater & Storm Water Separation will be received by The Town of Durbin, at the Durbin Fire Station, located on the corner of 1st Street and 4th Avenue in Durbin, West Virginia 26264, until 2:00 pm (local time) on January 27, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of the installation of approximately 15,850 LF of 8″ sanitary sewer line; 38 drop inlets; and all other items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the bid form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Hannah Engineering located at 1121 Beverly Pike, Suite 4, Elkins, West Virginia, or contact by phone (304)636-7777. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. The non-refundable cost of digital Bidding Documents is $500.00 per set, payable to Hannah Engineering, plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, digital Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Bid. The bidder awarded the contract shall complete this project to Substantial Completion within 180 calendar days. Final Completion shall be within 210 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000.00 per calendar day. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates and acknowledges that he/she has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. All Bidders must hold a current WV Contractor License on the date of Bid opening. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the bids.
