Notice is hereby given that EASTERN AGGREGATES, LLC, , 448 MARKET RD, BECKLEY, WV 25801, has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the quarry of approximately 85.87 acres in order to quarry Sandstone.
The proposed operation will discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of Glade Fork and Piney Creek of New River and is located 2.92 miles, South West of Beaver in Shady Spring District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81o 10′ 25.03″ Latitude 37o 42′ 59.36″. (Coordinates from USGS Topographic map).

Written comments and the Article 4 Quarry Permit Application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until March 23rd, 2021, or thirty days from date of inital publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until December 14, 2020, or ten (10) days from date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above and is available at:
