REQUEST & INVITATION TO BID Construction of the Greenbrier County Courthouse Renovations and Additions Sealed bids for Construction of the Greenbrier County Courthouse Renovations and Additions, will be received in the Greenbrier County Commission office, on the Basement Level of the Greenbrier County Courthouse, 912 Court Street North, Lewisburg, West Virginia, until Friday, June 4, 2021 at 4:00 pm and will be opened and read aloud on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 10:00 in the Commission Meeting. All complete bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Owner. Bidding Documents may be obtained upon request to: Silling Associates 405 Capitol Street, Upper Atrium Charleston, WV 25301 Phone 304.346.0565 The project involves construction of a new 21,597 sf 3-story General Services Building, and a renovation of the 35,310 sf Courthouse. Bidders interested in submitting bids shall contact the Architect. Email Bid Package requests to Meredith Aliff [email protected] and a Bid Package will be sent out. There is no deposit required for Bid Packages and all printing costs incurred by bidders are the responsibility of the bidders and are non-refundable. A certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract award, and a Maintenance Bond for the 100% of the new roof value. All Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with SB409 (WV Contractor’s Licensing Act). All General Contractors shall provide a copy of their WV Contractor’s license and include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form. A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2021, at 10:00am at the Greenbrier County Courthouse Commission Meeting Room. All bidders must attend the Pre-Bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. Attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting is mandatory for bid qualification. Later times will be made available for contractors to conduct site visits, and these will be announced at the Pre-Bid meeting. The Owner will conduct this prebid meeting in compliance with social distancing guidelines and current COVID 19 protocols. After the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, no Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
