ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS Proposals will be received by the West Virginia Parkways Authority via Bid Express for: CONTRACT NBCR-1-21 NORTH BECKLEY CANOPY ROOF REPLACEMENT MILEPOST 47 RALEIGH COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA PAPER BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND ALL BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY VIA BID EXPRESS. A MANDATORY PRE-BID meeting will be held May 6, 2021 at 10:00 am virtually or at the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306. Attendees must be full time employees of the Contractor. This contract is located in Raleigh County. This project consists of removing the existing EPDM roofing and underlying insulation to expose the existing built-up roof and install new insulation and EPDM roof. The estimated roofing area is as follows: 1,536 Square Feet for each Canopy roof (Northbound and Southbound) All work under this contract shall not begin prior to September 8, 2021 and be completed by October 29th, 2021. Proposals will be received via Bid Express until 3:00 PM May 20, 2021 at which time said proposals will be publicly opened and read virtually or at the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306. Proposals must be made via Bid Express in the manner designated in the specifications, and must be accompanied by a CASHIER’S or CERTIFIED CHECK or BID BOND in favor of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, FOR AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPOSAL OR $2,000 WHICHEVER IS THE GREATER, and must be delivered to the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306 on or before the day and hour named. Bid bonds may instead be submitted electronically via Bid Express. ANY BID THAT IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A BID BOND DELIVERED ELECTRONICALLY VIA BID EXPRESS OR A CASHIER’S CHECK, A CERTIFIED CHECK, OR A BID BOND DELIVERED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED ABOVE ON OR BEFORE THE DAY AND HOUR NAMED WILL BE CONSIDERED IRREGULAR.
