ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CALHOUN-GILMER CAREER CENTER GRANTSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA CALHOUN-GILMER CAREER CENTER RESTROOM RENOVATIONS General Notice Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center Restroom Renovations Thrasher Project Number 060-10226 Sealed Bids for the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center Restroom Renovations will be received by the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center located at 5260 E. Little Kanawha Highway, Grantsville, West Virginia until 1:30 p.m., L.P.T., Wednesday, August 18, 2021, for furnishing labor and materials and per forming all Work set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by The Thrasher Group, Inc. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud. The restroom upgrades generally include selective demolition, new masonry wall, new ceiling, new flooring, new plumbing fixtures, new toilet accessories, and installation of LED antimicrobial light fixtures and associated electrical Work. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. All of the following must be included and sealed in an opaque envelope labeled “Envelope #1”: 1. A valid Bid Bond 2. SBA Addenda Acknowledgement and Bid Certification (SBA Form 402), completed and signed 3. SBA List of Proposed Major Subcontractors (SBA 403-A), completed and signed The completed and signed bid form shall be sealed in an opaque envelope labeled “Envelope #2 Bid Form”. Envelopes #1 and #2 shall be sealed inside of an opaque envelope addressed to the party receiving the bids, and shall be identified with the project name, the bidder’s name and address and the designated portion of the work for which the bid is submitted. If the Bid is sent by mail, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation “SEALED BID ENCLOSED” on the face thereof. Failure to provide any of the required documentation will result in disqualification of the bid being submitted. Should be bid be disqualified under this provision, the required bid bond will be returned to the bidder. A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of Bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid. Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor’s license on the date of Bid Opening. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders. Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center, Grantsville, WV located at 5260 E. Little Kanawha Highway, Grantsville, WV 26147. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Instructions to Bidders.
