ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF ST. ALBANS ST. ALBANS “C” STREET Sealed bids will be received by the City of St. Albans, 1499 MacCorkle Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, until 2:00 P.M., August 12, 2021, for the following work: Construction of a plaza on Main Street consisting of selective demolition, reinforced concrete walls, concrete sidewalks, brick pavers, railing, lighting, and other incidental items as indicated on the drawings and specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group. The bid prices shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, Supplemental General Conditions and Detail Specifications and Drawings prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the required provisions will be publicly opened and read aloud. Construction time limit is 120 calendar days. Each prospective Bidder shall be required to acquire a minimum of one copy of the Bidding Documents which consist of plans and specifications. A Pre-Bid Conference shall be held at the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, WV, on August 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM. All prospective BIDDERS are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference for the purpose of discussing the project and touring the project site. All bidding documents shall be submitted in a single envelope addressed to the Owner marked with the following information in the lower left hand corner: “Name and Address of Bidder” City of St. Albans St. Albans “C” Street To be opened at 2:00 PM, LPT, August 12, 2021 No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a valid WV Contractor’s license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed.
