NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING City Council of the City of Charleston, West Virginia, will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2021, in the Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall at 601 Virginia Street, Charleston, WV, on the following: Bill No. 7923: A BILL to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Charleston, as amended, by adding thereto a new Article consisting of sections 2-711, 2-712, 2-713, 2-714, and 2-715, all relating to creating the City Center Business Improvement District; detailing the terms, method of appointment, and powers and duties of the district boardmembers; creating the City Center BID Fund; stating the maximum rate of any annual fees that may be imposed upon the commercial properties in the district and the manner in which the rate will be imposed; generally stating the intention of the City to increase services within the district with the fees collected; summarizing the proposed services to be provided within the district and a reasonable estimate of the attendant cost; describing the boundaries of the district; and stating requirements for continuation or dissolution of the City Center BID.
