TAZEWELL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
CUSTODIAL WORK UPON TAZEWELL COUNTY FACILITIES
The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors is soliciting proposals from qualified businesses and/or individuals, pursuant to Section 2.2-4300 et seq. of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, to provide custodial services to the following Tazewell County Facilities:

Tazewell County Administration Building 197 Main St., Tazewell, VA 24651
Tazewell County Building Inspection 173 Main St., Tazewell, VA 24651
Tazewell County Extension Office 2848 Riverside Dr., N. Tazewell, VA 24651
Tazewell County Registrar’s Office 2854 Riverside Dr., N. Tazewell, VA 24651
Such custodial services include, but are not limited to:
(1) Cleaning wood, linoleum, tile, and other flooring
(2) Shampooing rugs and carpets
(3) Emptying trash cans
(4) Changing air filters and cleaning vents
(5) Dusting all surfaces
(6) Waxing floors
(7) Ordering new cleaning supplies / maintaining an inventory
(8) Washing windows
(9) Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
(10) Collecting and taking out trash/recycling
Bid packets will only be accepted from businesses and/or individuals who have attended the mandatory pre-bid conference, which will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Tazewell County Administration Building, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651.
ALL PROPOSALS SHALL BE DELIVERED TO THE FOLLOWING NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, AUGUST 31, 2021 at 1:00 PM EST.

Any entity and/or individuals who desire to submit a bid for one or more individual buildings or premises may submit a bid on each individual building or premises. In addition, any entity and/or individuals who desire to submit a separate bid for all buildings and premises shall submit a bid that includes all buildings and premises.
All bids submitted shall include the following information and categories:
— Specific building or premises (or all buildings or premises) for which the bid is submitted
— Number of personnel or individuals to be assigned to the building or premises
— Hours per week intended to be worked by personnel or individuals
— Fee per week per building or premises or fee for all buildings or premises depending upon whether the bidder intends to bid on all or just some buildings
The selection criteria shall include the information contained in this Request for Proposals, and may include references or information from any other source. Proposals shall be scored based on qualifications, including but not limited to the following criteria:
— Conformity with Request for Proposals
— Familiarity with Authority and Infrastructure
— Experience of Key Personnel
— Experience with Firm/Individual in Referenced Areas
— Current Workload and Ability to Accept Project Specifications
— Input of References
— Price for Services Rendered
The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all proposals resulting from this request. Late responses will not be accepted and will be returned to the submitting firm or individual unopened.
The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors further reserves the right to reject as non-responsive proposals that do not contain the information required by this Request for Proposals.
The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors is not liable for any cost incurred by any person or firm responding to this request.
Small businesses and businesses owned by women or minorities are encouraged to apply. Bidders shall comply with any and all national or state legislative, executive, and judicial orders or decrees prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, national origin, gender, gender identification or preference, disability, or veterans’ status.
