ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (REBID) CITY OF ST. ALBANS KANAWHA COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA UTILITY SERVICE TRUCK September 2021 Sealed Bids will be received by the City of St. Albans, 1499 MacCorkle Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, at the specified dates and times for the following: 1) Service Truck Bid, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., October 19, 2021. Following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals that have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work to be bid upon is described as follows: 1) Utility Service Truck Bid Bids shall be received by the City of St. Albans for furnishing and delivering a new Chevrolet Silverado 5500, or equal, Regular Cab, V8 Turbo Diesel, Dual Rear Wheels, Automatic Transmission, 4 X 4, bed delete, equipped with Knapheide Utility Bed, or equivalent. The equipment supplied herein shall be new and unused, equipped as described in the Specifications. Bidders shall submit a base price less any government discounts available. Any questions about the meaning, the intent or the specification must be inquired into by the Bidder in writing by 4:00 PM, October 14, 2021. FAX or email all questions to Robert G. Specifications may be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, and telephone (304) 727-5501. There is no cost for the specifications. Each Bid shall be submitted on the Bidder’s standard equipment bid proposal format and included in a sealed envelope, and included in a larger sealed envelope containing the Bid Bond and Power of Attorney, with the following information written on the outside of the envelope: 1) Utility Service Truck Bid “Name and Address of Bidder”, City of St. Albans, Bid on Utility Service Truck, to be opened at 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., October 19, 2021. A certified check can be submitted in lieu of Bid Bond and Power of Attorney. Each must be in the amount of 5% of the bid. If Bid Bond, Form EJCDC C-435 must be used and such will be provided with the specifications. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
