The Housing Authority of the City of Bluefield will receive sealed bids for the CFP Modernization WV15-PO18-501-21, ROOF REPLACEMENTS PHASE I AT KING BRIDGE APARTMENTS, BLUEFIELD, WEST VIRGINIA, at the Housing Authority offices until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
This aforementioned scope of work will be let under one (1) contract.

A Prebid Conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Housing Authority Administrative Offices at 1600 Hill Street, Bluefield, WV. The scope and details of the proposed project work will be discussed. Attendance is recommended.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Bluefield, Par Value U.S. Government bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.
The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance or HUD-assisted projects covered by Section 3 shall, to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low- and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing.

The Housing Authority of the City of Bluefield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority.
