Request for Qualifications for Broadband Engineering Services
The Raleigh County Commission in West Virginia is in the process of selecting a consultant to provide design and project management services pertaining to a GigReady funded broadband expansion project(s). Project engineering will determine the most beneficial, cost-effective deployment of technology to maximize long term service to the designated communities.
All materials, maps, reports, and data generated through this project shall remain the property of the Raleigh County Commission.
The selected consultant shall be retained throughout all stages of the project, including design and construction. All consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit a proposal detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, and related prior experience.
The Consultant selection process shall be in compliance with the WV Code 5G.
Interested firms must submit one (1) original, five (5) hard copies, and one (1) digital format submission of all requested information to: Raleigh County Commission, 116 ½ North Heber Street, Beckley, WV 25802 and one (1) hard copy and one (1) digital format submission to the Region I Planning & Development Council, 1439 East Main Street, Suite 5, Princeton, WV 24740, by no later than 4:00 p.m. on January 14, 2022. Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project will be funded utilizing, but not limited to, GigReady grant funding.
The project will be implemented by a local project management team. Additional resources may be obtained through the West Virginia Office of Broadband and the West Virginia Broadband Enhancement Council. The team will provide oversight and direction to the consulting entity selected. All work will be performed in accordance with the regulations issued by the previously referenced funding source(s) and the State of West Virginia appertaining hereto.
The Raleigh County Commission will afford full opportunity for minority business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap or national origin in the contract award.
The Raleigh County Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all qualifications.
