ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF HUNTINGTON Invitation to Bid: 2022-01-06 20TH STREET PEDESTRIAN CROSSING PROJECT The City of Huntington (Owner) will receive electronic bids from licensed contractors for the “20th Street Pedestrian Crossing Project” until 10:00 a.m., EST on Thursday, February 10th, 2022. All proposals must be submitted through bidexpress.com. At that time, electronic proposals will be opened at City Hall, 800 5th Avenue, Room 16, Huntington, WV. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding and to accept the bid considered to be in its best interest from the lowest responsible bidder. The work consists of the following: 1) Demolition of existing concrete sidewalks, curbs, asphalt, treewell and other related items. 2) Construction activities shall consist of installation of new concrete sidewalks, concrete curbs, landscaping wall, crosswalks, signage, and landscaping. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for the purpose of discussing the scope of work, labor standards and other requirements will be held on Thursday, January 27th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the project site in the 400 block of 20th Street Huntington, West Virginia. Hard copies of the Plans and Contract Documents may be obtained from the office of the Engineer, E.L. Robinson Engineering Co., 5088 Washington Street, West, Cross Lanes, West Virginia, 25313, upon a nonrefundable payment of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) for each set of documents.
