ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Lewisburg at City Hall, 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg, West Virginia 24901, for the LEWISBURG PUBLIC WORKS SHOP BUILDING, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., March 24, 2022.
The total base bid price for the contract shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Forms of Proposal, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, and Plans and Detail Specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group.
The work to be bid upon is described as follows, but not limited to:
Site preparation, construction of foundations/floor slabs and erection of the Owner furnished metal building including interior construction and fit-out. The project is identified as Lewisburg Water Distribution Shop Building, and is shown on Contract Documents prepared by Chapman Technical Group, dated November 2021.
Construction time limit is 180 calendar days for.

Plans and Specifications MUST be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, telephone (304) 727-5501, upon payment of a $200.00 non-refundable deposit. If plans and specifications are requested to be mailed by the Architect, Bidders shall pay an additional $20 for the cost of shipping. Purchase is also available at www.chaptech.com.
Failure of any bidder to purchase plans, specifications, and contract documents from the Engineer prior to submittal of bid will result in rejection of said bid. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instruction to bidders.
All prospective Bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at the Lewisburg Water Plant, 2539 Stonehouse Road, Lewisburg, WV, on March 1, 2022, at 10:00 A.M., L.P.T., for the purpose of discussing the project and touring the project site.
All bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section § 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
