ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that BROOKS RUN SOUTH MINING LLC, 208 BUSINESS STREET, BECKLEY, WV 25801 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 6.69 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U400704 to operate a deep mine and haulage road in the Pocahontas No. 3 seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Tiller Camp Branch of Devils Fork of the Upper Guyandotte River and is located 1.8 miles north of Basin in Slab Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 f 16′ 42″ and Latitude 37 f 33′ 40″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
