ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS BOILER REPLACEMENT RITCHIE COUNTY MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT NUMBER-2232026 The Ritchie County Board of Education, Harrisville, WV will receive bids for Boiler Replacement – Ritchie County Middle/High School until 3:00pm , local prevailing time on March 30, 2026 at the office of the Ritchie County Board of Education, Harrisville, WV at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference, for this project has been scheduled for March 17, 2026 at 10:00am at Ritchie County Middle/High School. A site visit will be conducted following the meeting. The bid packet and contract documents are available at the request of the vendor by sending an email to Wendy Johnson Hall, Director of Operations and Management at [email protected] SCOPE OF WORK: – Provide all material and labor required for the boiler replacement project. – Disconnect the existing boiler and related piping, remove the boiler from the school, haul away, and discard. – Provide and install a new 2 million BTU boiler similar in style to the existing boiler. – Rework and adapt gas, water, and vent lines as necessary to fit the new boiler. – Perform all electrical work required for the new boiler system. – Include all costs required for obtaining the boiler permit. – Perform boiler startup, testing, and provide training for school personnel. Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue and the West Virginia Secretary of State's Office prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids in order for the Bid to be considered. Each Bidder's registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ONLY All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each Bidder's Contractor license number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ONLY A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Ritchie County Board of Education, shall be submitted with each Bid. FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ONLY Each (The) successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and the fee for same shall be included in their bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for at least thirty (30) days.
