ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Kanawha County Commission, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the design and construction of the Kanawha County Sherrif's Training Center Metal Building / Pistol Range according to Bidding Documents prepared by ZMM Architects and Engineers. Sealed bids will be received at Kanawha County Commission Purchasing Department, 407 Virginia Street, East, Third Floor, Room 229, Charleston, WV 25301 until 12:00pm, local time, on 6.12.26, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read. The mailing address for the Kanawha County Commission Purchasing Department is P.O. Box 3627, Charleston, WV 25336 A pre-bid conference will be held at 10am local time, on 5.21.26 at 1251 Camp Virgil Tate Road. Attendance at pre-bid conference is mandatory for prime contract bidders only. Bidding Documents can be obtained by one of the following methods: 1. Prime Contract Bidders only may contact ZMM Architects and Engineers Attn: Receptionist; [email protected] and request information to access the firm's online ShareFile site for the Kanawha County Sherrif's Training Center Metal Building project. Once access is gained, Bidders can download Bidding Documents in the form of PDF files at no charge. Requests for access to documents must be made by email, and those requests received through mail, telephone, fax transmission, or other online communications will not receive a response. Bidders' questions will be received and reviewed until 12:00 p.m. local time on 5.29.26. Questions received after this date and time will not receive a response. All questions shall be submitted in writing to ZMM Architects & Engineers, Inc. or email to Perry McCutcheon PE; [email protected] Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids in order for the Bid to be considered. Each Bidder's registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each Bidder's Contractor license number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 30 days after opening bids. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the Owner within 10 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond utilizing the bond forms bound in the Project Manual each in a penal sum equal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bonds shall be included in the bid.
