ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TOWN OF ALDERSON GREENBRIER COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA WATER SYSTEM REHAB CONTRACT #1 EXISTING WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AND REHABILITATION CONTRACT #2 WATERLINE EXTENSION CONTRACT #3 WATER TANK IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT #4 WATER METER UPGRADES General Notice Town of Alderson (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Water System Rehab 010-01224 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Town of Alderson located at 202 Monroe Street, Alderson, WV 24910, until Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2:00pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Contract #1 This contract will consist of the replacement of 6,020 LF of 6" Waterline, installation of 4,920 of 6" Waterline, the replacement of 4,405 LF of 4" Waterline, installation of 975 LF of 4" Waterline, the replacement of 2,880 LF of 2" Waterline, installation of 4,255 LF of 2" Waterline and all other related appurtenances. Contract #2 This contract will include the installation of 400 LF of 8" Directional Drill Waterline, 13,605 LF of 8" Waterline, 32,615 LF of 6" Waterline, 1,555 LF of 4" Waterline, 5,125 LF of 2" Waterline, 124 Meter Settings and all other related appurtenances. Contract #3 This contract will include the installation of a new 150,000 Gallon Water Storage Tank, Exterior painting of a 150,000 Gallon Water Storage Tank, and tank sites access road reconditioning. Contract #4 This contract will consist of the replacement of 850 water meters, tubs and lids. Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts: Contract No. 1 Description of Contract Existing Water System Improvements and Rehabilitation Contract Times (Calendar Days) Substantial / Final Payment 270/300 Contract No. 2 Description of Contract Waterline Extensions Contract Times (Calendar Days) Substantial / Final Payment 270/300 Contract No. 3 Description of Contract Water Tank Improvements Contract Times (Calendar Days) Substantial / Final Payment 240/270 Contract No. 4 Description of Contract Water Meter Upgrades Contract Times (Calendar Days) Substantial / Final Payment 270/300 The Work will be substantially completed and ready for final payment after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as listed above. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal", will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal" will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
