RFP:
Sealed bids for Demolition of Various Structures, Asbestos Inspection and Asbestos Abatement within Beckley, West Virginia will be received by the City of Beckley, Attn: Evan Dewey 409 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, West Virginia, 25801 until 3:00 pm local time on Monday, April 3, 2026, 3:00pm. Bids will be opened and read aloud at council meeting on April 7, 2026.
Neither dating of proposal form nor placing in mail by this date will meet requirements. Proposal form must be received on or before date and time stated.
Bidders must comply with all bidding requirements and conditions set forth in the Project Manual. All bidder's and bidder's subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with the West Virginia Contractors Licensing Act.
Contract Documents are available for inspection during regular working hours at the office of the OWNER (telephone: 304/256-1750).
Hard copies may be obtained at the UPS Store #2913, 1038 N Eisenhower Drive, Beckley WV 25801 (304.252.0111) by General contractors, Subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing, binding and mailing; however such cost is not refundable.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for interested Bidders and optional for interested sub-bidders or material suppliers. All Bidders MUST attend the Prebid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information. Should any bidder fail to attend, its Bid will be disqualified.
Pursuant to Chapter 21 Article 11 of the âWest Virginia Contractor Licensing Actâ of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors W.V. License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements.
After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days. All bidders are required to furnish a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price if bid is over $ 25,000.00.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in the amount of the contract price if contract is over $25,000.00.
