Notice is hereby given that GOALS COAL COMPANY, 8641 COAL RIVER ROAD, NAOMA, WV 25140 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 315 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O001885 to maintain and operate a refuse facility in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Shumate Creek of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 2.0 miles west of Naoma in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 37deg. 52′ 03″ and Latitude 81deg. 31′ 02″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
