Notice is hereby given that SEMINOLE WEST VIRGINIA MINING COMPLEX, LLC (to be Transferred to Murray Maple Eagle Coal, LLC), 1345 ELK RIDGE ROAD, ELK RIDGE, WV 25161 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 54 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O602289 to Maintain and Operate a Haulroad in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Sycamore Branch, Toms Branch, and Ash Branch of/Paint Creek and Jenkins Fork and Unnamed Tributaries of Armstrong Creek all of Kanawha River and is located 2.0 miles Northeast of Powellton in Valley and Cabin Creek Districts of Fayette and Kanawha Counties, Longitude 81deg. 20′ 56″ and Latitude 38deg. 03′ 29″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until May 8, 2020, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until May 11, 2020, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND online at https://dep.wv.gov/insidedep/Pages/miningpermitsearch.aspx.
