Notice is hereby given that COAL-MAC MET LLC,1245 22 MINE ROAD, HOLDEN, WV 25625 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for the surface mining of approximately 12.23 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U301210 to operate a deep mine in the Big Eagle seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into unnamed tributary of/and Stop Hollow and unnamed tributary of/and Armstrong Creek of Kanawha and is located 1.0 miles, southeast of Kimberly in Valley District of Fayette County, Longitude 81° 18 ' 2 " Latitude 38 ° 7 ' 15 " (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
