Notice is hereby given that WHITE RIDGE COAL COMPANY, INC., PO BOX 271, BURGETTSTOWN, PA 15021 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number S304086 in order to change the pre-mining land use of Forestland to the alternate post-mining land use of Fish and Wildlife Habitat and Recreation Lands.
The revised permit will discharge into Un-named tributaries of Sal Willis Branch and Pinch Creek of Glade Creek of New River of Kanawha River of KANAWHA RV and is located 4.6 (miles), northeast of Shady Spring, in the Richmond District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81° 1' 15†and Latitude 37° 44' 15†(Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 6-2-26, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
