AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that J.F. Allen Company has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a G40-C General Permit Registration for nonmetallic mineral processing facilities located on Commission Drive, in South Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: The center of the Site is located at Latitude 38.35179 ° N and Longitude -81.70719 ° W.
The applicant estimates that the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be:
Nitrogen Oxides: 12.873 tons/year
Carbon Monoxide: 23.449 tons/year
Total Organic Compounds: 7.798 tons/year
Sulfur Oxides: 6.282 tons/year
Particulate Matter: 80.04 tons/year
Particulate Matter – 10: 27.421 tons/year
The potential emissions from the operating equipment and transfer points were determined to be 37.61 tons/year.
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 1st day of July, 2021. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
