Notice is given that Kanawha Stone Company has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a G40-C General Permit Registration for a nonmetallic rock crushing operation at the following location in Mercer County, West Virginia:

The nearest intersection is Rt. 36/2 and 36/1 near Bluefield, WV. Site is located at Latitude 37.30222deg. N and Longitude -81.20000deg. W.

The applicant estimates that the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be:

Nitrogen Oxides – 0.864 tons/year
Carbon Monoxide – 7.56 tons/year
Total Organic Compounds – 3.30 tons/year
Sulfur Oxides – 2.69 tons/year
Particulate Matter-10 – 1.67 tons/year
Particulate Matter – 4.46 tons/year

The potential emissions from operating on an unpaved road surface were determined to be around 1.31 tons/year.

Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 21st day of October 2019. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
