NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Grassy Fork-Yawkey portion of its 34 kilovolt distribution system in Lincoln and Putnam County, WV. On or about February 17, 2020, contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and take into account factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, cuttings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.
Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: McCorkle Road, Ivy Branch, Ely Fork, Cobbs Creek, Sumerco Ridge Road, Garretts Bend, Donley Fork, Joes Creek Road, Tango Road, Falls Creek Road, Trace Fork, Toneys Branch , Woods Drive, Buck Branch, Rock House Branch, Dry Branch, Hollister Road, Buckeye Fork, Graley Branch, Laurel Fork, Midway Road, Breedlove Road, Porter Fork Road, Chapel Drive, Straight Fork Road, Snowden Road, Bear Fork, Bear Creek Road, Big Creek Road, Sam’s Branch Road, St. Rt. 3, Sugartree Creek Road, Hodge Road, Big Laurel, Sand Fork Road, Merritt’s Creek, Billy’s Creek, Camp Branch, Uncles Branch, Scary Creek, Ruffie Branch, Middle Creek, Trace Creek, Woodall Branch Road, Meadow Branch Road, Mud River Road, Abby Lane, Linville Drive, Blackberry Lane, St. Rt. 34, Hatters Run Road, Big Creek Road LFK, Shamber Forest.
Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
