AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application

Notice is given that Appalachian Aggregates, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Temporary Regulation 13 Permit to utilize a portable crusher to process stone at the Beckley Quarry near Mount Hope in Raleigh County, West Virginia. The unit may be used anywhere on the Beckley Quarry site. The latitude and longitude coordinates of the known sites are: 37.858582, and -81.249938.
The applicant estimates the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be: PM of 32.05 tons per year (tpy) of which 17.69 tpy are fugitive, PM10 of 12.15 tpy of which 5.31 tpy are fugitive, PM2.5 of 1.60 tpy of which 0.55 tpy are fugitive.
The facility will begin operation under the temporary permit when the permit is issued on or about July 10, 2018. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
