FOR STREET PAVING PROPOSALS
Sealed proposals for TOWN OF WHITE HALL STREET PAVING will be received by the Town of White Hall, 3 Timrod Drive, White Hall, West Virginia until 7:00 p.m. local prevailing time, April 27, 2015, at which time all sealed proposals or offers will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular meeting of the Town Council.
Persons making proposals may be present at said meeting in support of sealed proposals tendered in writing by 7:00 p.m. The Town of White Hall reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities therein or to extend the aforementioned
deadline.
Copies of the specifications for street paving and repair may be obtained from the Town Hall located at 3 Timrod Drive, White Hall, WV between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Any contractor submitting a proposal must be insured, appropriately licensed to do business in the State of West Virginia and the Town of White Hall, and otherwise in compliance with all statutes, rules, and ordinances of the State of West Virginia and its political subdivisions. This work is not anticipated to be subject to prevailing wage laws unless depending on the amount bid.
All work and material shall be in conformance to the latest edition of the WVDOH Standard Saponifications Roads and Bridges and Standard Details. ALL CONTRACTORS TO VISIT SITES AND FIELD VERIFY YARDAGES AND QUANTITIES
All bidders are to include their UPS Address, Telephone Number, Fax number and E-mail address with their request for bid documents.
A certified check or bank draft payable to the TOWN OF WHITE HALL, Marion County, West Virginia, or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by TOWN OF WHITE HALL, Marion County, West Virginia, in the amount equal to five per cent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidders entrance into a Contract, if given the award. No Bid Bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the Plans, Specifications, or any applicable statutes of the United States, the State of West Virginia and any/or all local ordinances.
Bids may not be modified or withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid opening date without forfeiture of the Bid Bond, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bid and to reject any or all
bids.
