MERCHANT STREET PARKING LOT
RENOVATION
CITY OF FAIRMONT, WEST VIRGiNIA
BID OPENING DATE: MaY 12, 2015
The City of Fairmont is requesting sealed bids to provide all materials, labor, equipment, supplies and services to renovate the Merchant Street Parking Lot, Fairmont, WV. The project consists primarily of the improvement of an existing parking lot which will be expanded to provide additional parking spaces, with the entire lot being overlaid with new asphalt.  In addition, we are providing a new pedestrian plaza between Merchant Street and the existing parking area, two rain gardens that will be constructed on the southwest end of the lot, and new steps and sidewalk to connect the parking lot to Everest Drive.  The project scope also includes new drainage structures, landscaping, lighting, and fencing.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Monday, May 4, 2015 in the City Manager’s Conference Room, 3rd Floor, 200 Jackson St., Fairmont, WV.
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 by the Purchasing Coordinator of the City of Fairmont, Marion County, West Virginia. Bids will be opened and read publicly at 2:30 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Please see bid packet for specific submission and deadline information.
The City Manager reserves the right to reject any part or all proposals or to waive any irregularity in any proposal when he deems such action advantageous to the City of Fairmont.
