BIDS FOR 2016 STREET PAVING

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 2016 Street Paving Town of Fayetteville Sealed Bids for the 2016 Street Paving will be received by the Town of Fayetteville, Attention: Town Superintendent / Street Paving Bid, 125 Court Street Fayetteville, West Virginia 25840. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016. The Bids will be opened in the council chambers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016. The Bids will be considered at the June 2, 2016 Town of Fayetteville Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. Bid Specifications are as follows: All Bidders must have current West Virginia Contractors License and Town of Fayetteville Business License Mill tie-in joints at starting and stopping points, as well as adjoining streets Clean and Sweep streets Apply Tacking Material All drop inlets, sewer lids and water meter lids that are located within the paving area are to be raised by using risers for lids and bricks and mortar for inlets Driveways must be “feathered in” Pave as listed below with 2″ average compacted inches of Wearing 1 Asphalt Bids must include prices for each street with tonnages needed separately Bidder must follow WVDOH mix designs Bidder must follow WVDOH Specifications Roller-pass nuclear compaction testing of the asphalt is required and to be included A copy of all truck weigh tickets must be given to the Town Superintendent Prevailing Wages shall be paid and certified pay records available to the Town of Fayetteville Town of Fayetteville Business License is Required Town of Fayetteville B&O tax payment will be required Lien Release required from any subcontractors or suppliers 5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} Bid Bond is required at time of bid Liability Insurance with $1,000,000 minimum coverage is required, with the Town of Fayetteville to be listed as “Additional Insured” Paving must be complete within 45 calendar days from issuance of “Notice to Proceed” Traffic control will be the responsibility of the Town of Fayetteville. Streets may be temporarily closed and traffic re-routed when ever possible The successful bidder is required to handout “Paving Notices” to residents the day before paving is scheduled on their streets Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened to Bidders The Town of Fayetteville Reserves the right to reject any or all Bids Paving Bid specifications can be obtained at the Fayetteville town hall 125 Court Street Fayetteville, West Virginia. 5-16-MON-1-FT; L 252
