for Bland County High School Gym Ceiling Repairs
Bland County is Requesting for Proposal to make repairs to the ceiling at the Bland County High School Gymnasium located at 176 Eagles Road, Rocky Gap, Virginia 24366.
The Gymnasium currently has Insulation with a Polypropylene type film cover which has been torn and allows the insulation to sag down in places. With the torn film cover it allows the heat from the gymnasium to circulate to the metal roof causing condensation to fall onto the gym floor and bleachers.
This Contract consists of replacing the polypropylene insulation with a ceiling type of insulation that has a hard shell or fiberglass type insulation that will not puncture due to impact of objects hitting the ceiling in the gymnasium.
The new insulation will be replaced in the south portion of the gym which is approximately 36′ x 64′ in dimensions. The new insulation shall run in between the purlins to avoid having to remove the items that are attached to the bottom of the purlins.
The main objective is to prevent condensation and insulation from falling onto the gym floor.
