NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CHANGE RATES
PAW PAW ROUTE 19 PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT
CASE NO. 15-0046-PWD-19A
On January 20, 2015, Paw Paw Route 19 Public Service District filed with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia and application requesting increased rates and charges for the provision of water services for it’s customers in Marion and Monongalia Counties. On March 4, 2015, the Commission granted the District an emergency interim 8.67{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase.
The Staff of the Public service Commission has reviewed the application and recommended an initial increase of 25.44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} over the rates in effect at the time of the application. After 12 months, this would be followed by two reductions as the District complied with mandated cash reserve requirements and eliminated arrearages. The staff-recommended monthly rate increases are as follows:

The Commission will adopt rates and charges for Paw Paw Route 19 which are the same as, greater than or less than the Staff- recommended rates and charges.
Anyone desiring to protest the proposed changes must do so in writing within ten days of the date of publication of this notice. All protest should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, WV 25323. To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protests should be specific as to reasons that the changed rates and charges should be modified. In addition, anyone desiring a hearing in this matter must demand a hearing in the letter of protest. If no substantial protest is filed, the Staff-recommended rates may be approved without hearing.
