PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES UPON APPLICATION
WITHOUT PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATES
NOTICE is hereby given that Allied Waste Services of North America, LLC d/b/a Republic Services of West Virginia, a public utility has on December 30, 2014, filed with the PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA, an application for authority to increase its rates and charges for solid waste service to customers in the Counties of Marion, Harrison, Monongalia, Lewis, Taylor and Upshur.
The proposed increased rates and charges will produce approximately $4,695,466.00 annually in additional revenue, an increase of 44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}. The carrier’s present authorized rates and its proposed rates are as follows:

1. Case No. 14-2012-MC-42A; Certificate F-5619 (Marion County); Rate is $16.52 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable.
2. Case No. 14-2013-MC-42A; Certificate F-5620 (Marion County); Rate is $14.52 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable.
3. Case No. 14-2010-MC-42A; Certificate F-4865 (Monongalia County); Rate is $13.62 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable.
4. Case No. 14-2011-MC-42A; Certificate F-4879 (Monongalia County); Rate is $13.62 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable.
5. Case No.14-2014-MC-42A; Certificate F-7337 – this application only pertains to commercial service in Harrison, Marion, Lewis, Monongalia, Taylor and Upshur Counties in which the rate
is negotiable.
PROPOSED RATES
1. Case No. 14-2012-MC-42A; Certificate F-5619 (Marion County); Rate – $23.79 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable. (Proposed 44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase).
2. Case No. 14-2013-MC-42A; Certificate F-5620 (Marion County); Rate – $20.91 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable. (Proposed 44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase).
3. Case No. 14-2010-MC-42A; Certificate F-4865 (Monongalia County); Rate – $19.66 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable. (Proposed 44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase).
4. Case No. 14-2011-MC-42A; Certificate F-4879 (Monongalia County); Rate – $19.66 for residential service. Commercial service is negotiable. (Proposed 44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase).
5. Case No. 14-2014-MC-42A; Certificate F-7337 – this application only pertains to commercial service in Harrison, Marion, Lewis, Monongalia, Taylor and Upshur Counties in which the rate is negotiable. (Proposed 44{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase).
Individual customers may receive increases that are greater or less than stated here. The requested rates and charges are only a proposal and are subject to change (increases or decreases) by the Public Service Commission in its review of this filing. Any increase in rates and charges will not become effective until authorized and approved by the Commission. (If a hearing is scheduled, notice will be given of the time and place of hearing.)
Anyone desiring to protest or intervene should file a written protest or notice of intervention prior to April 2, 2015, unless otherwise modified by Commission order. Failure to timely protest or intervene can affect your rights to protest any rate increases and to participate in future proceeding. All protests or requests to intervene should briefly state the reason for the protest or intervention. Requests to intervene must comply with the Commission’s rule on intervention set forth in the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure. All protests and interventions should be addressed to Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P. O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323.
