LEGAL NOTICE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The City of Princeton is seeking proposals from engineering firms to provide planning, funding application assistance, design and construction related services for multiple extensions of water, sewer and storm water drainage systems. The initial phase of the requested services will be to prepare a planning study evaluating and making recommendations for upgrading water service to the High Street area of Princeton.

On occasion, the City is in need of professional services for multiple smaller water, sewer and storm water projects. Professional services for these miscellaneous projects will include assistance in obtaining funding, design of system extensions, design of upgrades to existing facilities, preparation of bidding and contracting documents, preparation of permitting and environmental clearance documents, participation in the solicitation and evaluation of bids and monitoring and inspection of construction.

Procurement of these services will be made in accordance with current state and federal procurement regulations.

All consultants interested in being considered for providing the above described services must submit four (4) copies of their proposal detailing capabilities, prior related experience, etc. Proposals must be submitted on or before 2 p.m., July 11th, 2019, to Mike Webb, City Manager, City of Princeton, 800 Bee Street, Princeton, West Virginia 24740. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope which is clearly marked “Engineering Proposal for the High Street Water Upgrade Project/Miscellaneous Water, Sewer and Storm Water Project”. The City will evaluate the proposals received in July, 2019. Interviews will be held in August, 2019 and the final selection of a consultant will be made before or during September, 2019. The City has the right to reject all proposals.

The object of the competitive process is to objectively select the firm which will provide the highest quality of services at a realistic fee. The six categories and their weighted importance that the proposals will be judged upon are as follows:
