Greenbrier County Airport Authority has a Board of Directors vacancy to be filled by an appointment of the Greenbrier County Commission. The County Commission is highly desirous of candidates with a background that would be beneficial to the economic development of our region and realize that transportation infrastructure is a key component to success. The Airport Authority will be accepting resumes on behalf of the Commission to facilitate a single point for applications. Resumes will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. Friday July 13, 2018. This is a non-paid position with a 5-year term in accordance with State Code 8-29A which requires an even number of representatives from each political party. Applicants must also be a resident of Greenbrier County, WV. The position available is required to be Republican, Independent or non-affiliated.
Greenbrier County Airport Authority is also seeking applicants for three (3), five member, steering committees that will report to the voting Board. Committee charters will be Economic Development, Tourism, and Public Outreach/Special Events. Steering committee members are not bound by political party affiliation or Greenbrier County resident sections of West Virginia Code. Steering Committees are being created to give the broadest representation possible to areas we serve.
