NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDMENT OF TAZEWELL COUNTY BUDGET
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to Section 15.2-2507 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia, will conduct a public hearing on October 1, 2019 at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as may be practical, at the Tazewell County Administration Building, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia 24651, and hereby gives its intent to adopt an Amendment to the Tazewell County Budget.
Said Amendment to the Tazewell County Budget exceeds one percent (1{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total expenditures shown in the current Tazewell County budget, adopted on June 25, 2019. The Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia intends to amend its budget to include the following items:
(1) Creation of Reserve Fund – $1,000,000.00
(2) CDBG Grant Funds (Falls Mills Adult Daycare) – $700,000.00
(3) ARC Grant Funds (Falls Mills Adult Daycare) – $500,000.00
(4) CDBG Grant Funds (SWCC Automotive Service) – $200,000.00
(5) Landfill Enterprise Fund (Comm./Private Haulers) – $220,000.00
(6) General School Fund (Adm./Attd./Health) – ($70,296.00)
(7) General School Fund (Instruction) – ($34,048.00)
(8) General School Fund (Operation & Maintenance) – $269,623.00
(9) General School Fund (Pupil Transportation) – $14,850.00
(10) General School Fund (Debt Service) – $379,997.00
(11) General School Fund (Contingency Reserve) – $182,112.00
(12) General School Fund (Technology) – $3,943.00
(13) School Textbook Fund (Beginning Balance) – ($313,242.00)
(14) School Textbook Fund (Local School Support) – $379,997.00
(15) School Textbook Fund (Beginning Balance) – $66,755.00
(16) School Cafeteria Fund (Expenditures) – $342,873.00
All persons wishing to comment on the proposed Amendment to the Tazewell County Budget hereby invited to attend and state their views thereon. A complete copy of the Amendment to the Tazewell County Budget is also on file in the office of the County Administrator, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia 24651.
