ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Tucker County Commission, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the Facade Cleaning and Restoration for the Tucker County Courthouse. Sealed bids will be received at the offices of the Owner, located at 211 First Street, Suite 307, Parsons, West Virginia 26287 until 11:00 a.m. local time, June 24, 2020, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read.
Pre-qualification of Bidders is required for this project and the required submittal information and submittal form are bound in the Project Manual portion of the Bidding Documents.
Owner will receive sealed Submittal of Qualifications until the time and date at the location given below.
Owner will consider submittals prepared in compliance with this section, and delivered as follows:
1. Date: June 15, 2020
2. Time: 5:00 p.m. local time
3. Location: Offices of ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers, 222 Lee Street West, Charleston,
West Virginia 25302
Submittals of Qualifications will thereafter be evaluated by ZMM, Inc. and those bidders who are admitted as pre-qualified bidders will thereafter be notified. Prospective Bidders’ qualification information shall be considered privileged and confidential.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. local time, on June 10, 2020, at the offices of the Owner, located at 211 First Street, Suite 307, Parsons, West Virginia 26287. Attendance at pre-bid conference is mandatory for prime bidders only. Attendance will be limited to one person representing a bidder.
Bidding documents may be examined at Viewing Depositories listed in the Bidding Documents.
1. Prime Contract Bidders only may contact ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers at (304) 342-0159
and request information to access the firm’s online F.T.P. site for the Facade Cleaning and
Restoration for the Tucker County Courthouse project. Once access is gained, Contractors can
download Bidding Documents in the form of PDF files at no charge.
2. Hard Copies may be obtained from Charleston Blueprint (304-343-1063) by General Contractors,
Subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing, binding and
mailing: however such cost is not refundable.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids.
The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the Owner within 10 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond utilizing the bond forms bound in the Project Manual each in a penal sum equal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bonds shall be included in the bid.
