Notice is hereby given that FOLA COAL COMPANY LLC, PO BOX 180, 2112 LEATHERWOOD RD, BICKMORE, WV 25019 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for for the surface mining of approximately 88.12 acres and has submitted an application to the dep, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S200605 to Coal Surface Mine in the Middle/Upper Kittanning, 5-Block, Clarion, Stockton/Stockton, Coalburg/Upper Coalburg, and Lower Coalburg seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Right Fork of Leatherwood Creek and Cannel Coal Hollow of Right Fork of Leatherwood Creek of Leatherwood Creek of Elk River located 1.2 miles southeast of Bickmore in Henry District of Clay County, Longitude 81o 5’ 14.0000” and Latitude 38o 22’ 20.0000” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until January 28, 2017, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until January 28, 2017, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND in the Clay County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.
