Notice is hereby given that FOLA COAL COMPANY LLC, PO BOX 180, 2112 LEATHERWOOD RD, BICKMORE, WV 25019 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for for the surface mining of approximately 539 acres and has submitted an application to the dep, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S201298 to Coal Surface Mine in the Kittanning, Clarion, Stockton, and Coalburg seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Sycamore Run and an Unnamed Tributary of Lilly Fork and Lilly Fork of Buffalo Creek of Elk River and is located 6 miles northwest of Bickmore and Gilboa in Henry/Grant and Summersville District of Clay and Nicholas Counties, Longitude 80o 59’ 2.0000” and Latitude 38o 22’ 39.0000” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until February 4, 2017, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until February 4, 2017, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND in the Clay County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.
