Notice is hereby given that QUINWOOD COAL COMPANY LLC, 1415 LOUISIANA, SUITE 2400, HOUSTON, TX 77002 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 13.35 acres in order to Deep Mine in the Fire Crk – New River seam of coal.
The proposed operation is discharging into Hogcamp Run of Laurel Creek of Cherry River of Gauley River of Kanawha River of Kanawha River and is located 7.4 (miles) southeast of Leivasy, in Williamsburg District of Greenbrier County, Longitude 80° 33’ 45” and Latitude 37° 07’ 02” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
