NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Hartland – Bickmore portion of its 12 kilovolt distribution system in Clay and Nicholas County, WV. On or about June 13, 2016 contract crews will begin to selectively apply herbicides along our rights-of-way.
Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: Hartland Rd., Elkhurst Rd., Blue Knob Rd., Mountain Top Dr., Laurel Creek, Beechy Ridge Rd., State Rt. 4, State Rt. 16, Carver Fork Rd., Fola Rd., Grassy Fork Rd., Pack Fork Rd., Leatherwood Rd., Middle Cr., Osborne Fork Rd., Upper Sycamore Creek, Big Sycamore Creek, Brown Hollow Rd., and Black Cherry Lane.
Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property. Specifics regarding your property may be discussed at that time. If you are a nonresident property owner and have questions regarding our right-of-way maintenance they may be directed to:
