HHG Properties LLC, et al. Said Petition for Condemnation/Right of Entry under the West Virginia laws of eminent domain seeks property for the construction of electrical transmission, distribution, and communication lines and appurtenant equipment and fixtures, and condemnation and right of entry on behalf of Appalachian Power Company situate, lying, and being situated in the Pocatalico District, Putnam County, West Virginia, identified as Tax Map 225, Parcel 166.13, and recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Putnam County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 556, at page 732, and being more specifically bounded and described as follows: 1.10 AC (PRT PLT 2) AREA M Situated in Pocatalico District, Putnam County, West Virginia, being a part of Plot 11 of Area "M" of the Nitro Reservation, as shown on a map designated as "Map of U.S. Explosives Plant C, Showing Plots #1 to #25 Remaining Unsold," prepared by C.R. Connor, C.E., dated September 11, 1929, and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Putnam County, West Virginia, in Map Book 2, pages 30 to 37 inclusive, which tract hereby conveyed is more particularly bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin located in the division line between the parcel herein conveyed and an adjoining parcel containing 6.644 acres now or formerly owned by The W. W. Williams Company, which iron pin also marks the northwesterly corner of a parcel of land containing 2.00 acres conveyed by the Union Boiler Company, a West Virginia corporation, to Everette C. 'Call and Betty E. Call, his wife, by deed dated April 28, 1977, which is of record in said Clerk's Office in Deed Book 223, at page 370; thence running with the common division between the parcel herein conveyed and The W.W. Williams Company property, N. 21 47 E., 236.52 feet to an iron pin in the southerly line of a 35-foot roadway known as River Road; thence running with the Southerly right-of-way line of River Road, S. 68 12 E. 203.80 feet to an iron pin which marks the point of intersection of the southerly right-of-way line of River Road and the westerly right-of-way line of a 20-foot private roadway; thence leaving River Road and running with the westerly right-of-way line of the 20-foot roadway, S. 21 48 W. 236.52 feet to an iron pin which marks the northeasterly corner of the 2.00 acre tract now or formerly owned by the said Everett C. Call and Betty E. Call, his wife; thence leaving the 20-foot roadway and running with the common division line between the parcel herein conveyed and the said adjacent 2.00 acre tract, N. 68 12 W. 203.80 feet to the place of beginning. Map 225, Parcel 166.13 District: POCA Deed Book 556, Page 732 The aforementioned respondents are hereby notified the said Petition for Condemnation/Right of Entry is being served, and notice published and may be obtained from the Putnam County Circuit Clerk's office at 12093 Winfield Road, Winfield, West Virginia, 25213, for the purposes of appearing and defending. Further, the Petition for Condemnation/Right of Entry may also be obtained from the attorneys for Appalachian Power Company, Stephen F. The aforementioned respondents are further notified that a hearing on the said Petition for Condemnation/Right of Entry will occur on June 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., in the Circuit Court of Putnam County, West Virginia, located at 12093 Winfield Road, Winfield, Ripley, West Virginia, 25213, before the Honorable Phillip Stowers.
