INVITATION FOR BIDS
TAZEWELL COUNTY
EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT BIDS – 2019
The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors is accepting sealed bids from vendors for the following items of equipment: (1) self-contained breathing apparati (SCBA) and (2) RIT-PAK Fast Attack emergency air supply equipment. The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors seeks the following amount of each category of equipment:
(1) SCBA: quantity of 125.
(2) RIT-PAK: quantity of 5.
Due to the nature of the equipment, the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors includes with this Invitation for Bid a list of requirements for each category of equipment: (1) Attachment A [SCBA] and (2) Attachment B [RIT-PAK]. Said attachments shall be provided to interested vendors upon request. Vendors shall complete the Attachments by noting on the Attachments if the equipment supplied meets specifications; does not meet specifications; or requires an exception. Vendors shall include the Attachments with any bid package submitted by the vendors. The Attachments are material to the bid, and the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any bids without said Attachments.
Please read the following instructions carefully:
(1) Vendors may submit bids upon any or all categories of equipment. However, vendors shall submit bids upon all categories of equipment upon which vendors desire to bid. Bids shall contain (a) the price for the entire quantity of equipment for each category requested, and (b) a price per item of equipment for each category requested.
(2) The bid, with proper Attachments, should be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked “SCBA Bid” and/or “RIT-PAK Bid” and sent to the Tazewell County Administration Building, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651.
(3) Bids will be opened on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Without exception, bids delivered after this date and time will not be accepted.
(4) Tazewell County reserves the right to reject all bids; waive informalities; and accept the bid that is in the best interests of Tazewell County, Virginia.
