Invitation To Bid

The Corporation of Shepherdstown, WV is requesting bids for the repair or replacement of 12 window frames and sashes with an add-alternate request to repair or replace 13 additional windows. The property is the Mecklenburg Tobacco Warehouse, a circa 1790 stone structure located at 315 North Princess Street, Shepherdstown, WV.

The project includes:

Construct and install nine-over-six, single hung wooden windows with single glazed panes and hardware to match the existing openings at the Mecklenburg Warehouse.

The project completion date is no later than October 1, 2015 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

All bids must be received no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
