Invitation To Bid
The Pocahontas County Historical Museum is requesting bids for the replacement of their roof at Route 219 in Marlinton, WV
The project includes:
1. Roof repair and replacement including metal shingle installation and rubber roofing
2. Associated repair of soffit and fascia
3. Installation of downspouts
The project completion date is no later than June 30, 2015 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
The bid package is available by calling Geoff Hamill at (304) 799-4973 or via email at [email protected]. The property will be open for a mandatory pre-bid walk-through on April 23 at noon.

Partial funds for this project are through the WV State Historic Preservation Office. All applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations apply. Contract will be less than $500,000 and West Virginia prevailing wage provisions will not apply.
